This is one of the most important centers of Islam world-wide.

I love that this mosque and other mosques are such lovely places to sit, pray, study, or chat. It’s very welcoming. We saw people from around the world. I immediately spotted a Thai man.

Since I was wearing a short-sleeve shirt, I was handed this burka at the door.  Our tour guide, (who was Coptic) was wearing long sleeves and jeans, so she just pulled out a tiny piece of lace that she draped on top of her head.
