While we were visiting, Daniel divvied up his gur, which is molasses, or sugar in a more unprocessed form. Daniel has here gur from three different palms (তাল, খেজুর, গল পাতা) and from sugar cane. We all did some serious tasting. I liked the খেজুর (khejur) best. Below is a khejur tree, and if you look close, there is a pot hanging there to catch the sap which is boiled down to get the sap.
