If your guests visit in the hot season and aren’t particularly interested in architecture or art, then Puthia is not the place to go. But if it’s a fall morning with cool breezes and your guests can tell you the Hindu stories behind the art in the architecture, then it’s a hit.

I don’t care if Bangladesh ever becomes modern with malls or Western fast food or commodities. But it will be a great loss if Bangladesh lets it’s beautiful architecture crumble.
