We are in Chittagong at Dishari Camp for another week-long photography class, and this bunch are off to a good start. Below is a picture of the cook who is feeding us spectacular meals (except breakfast is rather slim).

Jacob gave the students an assignment of taking pictures of bugs. Most people came back with pictures like the one below.

But one person came back with this picture! This lizard is several feet long, and it sells for about 2.50$ a kg at the market! It’s called a গুই সাপ (gui shap) in Bangla. I don’t know the English equivalent — komoto dragon? The students were blaming each other for moving too slow in catching the lizard but I am glad that this one won’t be curry!

I haven’t been chasing lizards, just taking care of the kids .. and doing piles of handwash.
