People in the Himalayas are pretty serious about flowers. Orchids, daisies, roses, lilies, and many other ones that I cannot name. During the winter, one gets to enjoy the mountain views, and during the rest of the year when the views are hidden behind the haze and the clouds, you have the flowers.

We stayed at Sherpa Lodge, where everyone was very friendly, rooms were again around 5$, and Elias had lots of kids and dogs to play with.

The owner of the lodge had invited about twenty monks to come for a few days of prayer and to change the prayer flag. In the morning, we listened to the monks playing these horn-like instruments. Even though I grew up in a Buddhist country, I am completely ignorant of Tibetan Buddhism which seems very different than what is practiced in Thailand.
